Gil Nelson is your host for AAU TimePod (ARTS ARE US INTERNATIONAL). Our installment for March is a tribute to Britain's Bing Crosby; Michael Holliday. Our guest will be Holliday biographer, Ken Crossland, who will be talking about his book, The Man who would Be Bing: The Life Story of Michael Holliday. As a special Treat, TimePod will debut 12 never before released Michael Holliday recordings. You'll hear the songs and how these "lost" classics were discovered. The current TimePod feed can be accessed here:
Shakespeare in Shorts is dedicated to introducing the world to the mysteries and delights of live theater. Produced by Take a Bow... theater artists, Shakespeare (and other authors whom we fancy) receive an audience-friendly production in a casual venue when the weather is calm. When the weather rampages, we issue slickers.
In 1998 artistic director Joanna Clark established a theatrical company comprised of actor friends, former drama students, and players she had reviewed for newspapers. By 1999 the company had staged its first full-fledged production, "Eden's Promise," to SRO fans. That same year she opened Take a Bow... studio for classical training in dance and theater.

The Unofficial Skeeter Davis Page
Miss Skeeter Davis was one of the pioneers of the Nashville Sound, making her one of the most successful "crossover" artists of the early sixties. Of course, we credit Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline as the innovators of this unique sound, but the truth is, Skeeter Davis turned out some mighty impressive work and gave the the aforementioned artists a good run for their money. Her personal appearances on Dick Clark's American Bandstand significantly out numbered those of Patsy Cline. Most of Skeeter's musical contributions are forgotten today. I have no idea why this is, but it is not right. It is my belief that popular music owes a great debt to this talented lady, and a good part of my mission is not only to develope a stage production, but to make sure that the musical legacy of Miss skeeter Davis is preserved for all time.

Skeeter Davis and Ernest Tubb's friendship go back to the very beginning of her career. The Davis Sisters made their first national appearance on The Midnight Jamboree in July of 1953. After Betty Jack's death, when Skeeter decided to "solo", ET took her under his wing and gave her some very important exposure. Jim Reeves Family Tribute
A tribute to Jim Reeves from those who knew him best; his family. Jim's nephew, John Rex Reeves, presents a fitting tribute to his uncle. It should also be noted that John is a talented singer in his own right, and the only other member of the Reeves family to successfully pursue a musical career.
